Our Vision
Building a Stronger, Safer, and More Prosperous Hawthorne for All.

At the heart of our campaign is a simple yet powerful vision: to create a Hawthorne where every resident feels safe, empowered, and proud to call this city home. We envision a future where economic growth is inclusive, housing is affordable, and our streets are clean and vibrant. Our goal is to build a community that values transparency, supports local businesses, and offers opportunities for all—whether you’re raising a family, starting a business, or enjoying your retirement. Together, we can transform Hawthorne into a thriving, welcoming city that leads by example in the South Bay.

Our Mission
Leading with Integrity, Building with Purpose.

Our mission is to bring transformative leadership to Hawthorne that champions transparency, fosters economic development, and enhances the quality of life for all residents. We are committed to creating a safe, vibrant, and inclusive community by driving responsible growth, supporting local businesses, and ensuring that every voice is heard in our city’s future. Through dedicated service and innovative solutions, we aim to build a stronger, more united Hawthorne where opportunities are accessible to everyone.

Track Record of Making a Difference

As City Treasurer

As City Treasurer, David has transformed the office of Treasurer and worked successfully with the City Manager and City Council to transform the City’s finances.

David started by updating the city’s investment policy, then went on to save the city tens of thousands of dollars renegotiating the City’s banking fees, and thousands more helping the city find a new banking partner.  During his time as Treasurer Hawthorne is reported record reserves (600% increase), and an increase on the return on investments by over 400%.

As Councilman

I am proud to have brought Hawthorne its first Dog Park, as well as introduce the Hawthorne 311 app so residents and communicate easily and directly with City Hall.

As Councilman I have partner with the Hawthorne Police Department to create recruitment videos and other efforts to bring in new officers. And to fight crime, I increased the budget to our Prosecution department, so they are better equipped to prosecute and fight petty theft in Hawthorne.

Additional accomplishments include:

– Financial literacy and homeownership workshop for the City

– established Hawthorne’s first time home buyer’s program, to provide down-payment assistance to our residents looking to be homeowners.

– EV chargers in our city

– A youth basketball clinic

– Free tax preparation services

– A digital newsletter for the community

– I was able to reorganize and establish better processes for our licensing and finance department, introducing best practices in how Hawthorne handles its budgeting and accounting, creating greater efficiency, safety in our finances and increasing accountability and transparency.
